Just to let you know our asparagus deliveries are going to be late, as they were covered with snow up until last week!!   You should expect them by the end of April and we hope that you understand.

We have spoken with our suppliers and they have recommended that they hold onto the Santero onion sets in heat treatment until March, this non-chemical treatment helps to discourage bolting.  Please be aware that we will dispatch the rest of your order as and when it becomes available and send on any Santero that you might have on order with us, at our cost in March.  We hope that this does not cause too much inconvenience; please feel free to contact us to discuss if you would like to.

Apologies to anyone who has been affected by our phone crisis.  The 01364 652233 number was out for more than 24 hours on Wednesday (7th) and Thursday (8th).  We are pleased to announce that the problem is however now fixed and we are sorry for any inconvenience caused.

WEATHER ALERT FOR OUR OPEN DAYS Severe weather warnings have been issued for Monday, although this weather front may not even hit Bridgewater; the met office are saying that “there is a large amount of uncertainty at present”. 
 
Whatever the weather does or does not do, staff from both Tuckers and Rijk Zwaan will all still be at Huntstile, to meet, discuss varieties and techniques and answer your questions, as will our ten trade stands.  If necessary, we will simply move to the cover of the marquee where the refreshments are and take advantage of any breaks in the weather to venture outside.  Bring your wellies though!  We look forward to seeing you there.

2012 AUTUMN GARLIC HARVEST UPDATE The difficult weather conditions that we have all experienced this season has meant that the harvesting of garlic crops is late this year, also the later harvest means that the temperatures are lower which is having a direct affect on drying times.  Our suppliers are working hard to improve this situation, but it is looking unlikely that we will receive our first delivery until at least mid September.  We thank you in advance for your patience and please rest assured that we will deliver your garlic to you as soon as we can.
