This sturdy plant boasts a superb range of coloured spikes, including bi-colours.

Generally sown in the greenhouse with or without heat, from January to early April. Prick out into trays or cells when large enough to handle. Transplant into beds when all risk of frost has gone. They flower from June onwards. Usually used for summer bedding plants, these only survive one season.   

Often known as Snapdragon, with its tubular flowers. When the plants are 7.5cm (3") high pinch out growing points to encourage bushiness. Stake tall varieties. Sow at 15-20ºC (59-68ºF) DO NOT cover, Antirrhimums need light to germinate.
