ELEPHANT GARLIC AUT/SPR 2013/2014 *ORGANIC*

Huge bulbs with milder flavour. Plant as standard garlic but increase spacing to 30cm (12”) apart. Plants can grow to approximately 120-150cm (4-5’) tall and you should remove the purple flowerhead as this will encourage larger bulbs. Autumn planting recommended, although Elephant garlic may be planted up until February, although the likelihood of producing a solid bulb (instead of a bulb with cloves) is increased. This solid bulb can be replanted in the autumn to produce a bulb with cloves the following summer. Hardneck.
